PerchAs a web designer, I’m often asked to build websites with some form of content management system, but there’s a slight problem – I’m not a coder, I’m very much a designer. Solutions to this problem such as Wordpress are great, they allow designers to create content management systems without the headache of creating the back end. For the last few years I’ve been logging all incomings and outgoings using a combination of MS Excel and a mac based application called Billable. To begin with it worked great, but over time I got busier and busier and things started slipping. I’d forget to log work, invoice very sporadically and as a result I never really had a grip on my accounts. Adobe Browserlab – First Impressions

Browser testing, it’s a pain but it has to be done. As a mac user it’s even more painful. I’ve never been comfortable with the idea of installing VMware Fusion and Windows on my Mac, it just doesn’t seem right. (more…)
