Following the redesign and relaunch of my website earlier this month I needed some new business cards in the same style to hand out to prospective clients.
I worked up a new design and layout that I was happy with and started thinking about printing. In the past I’ve always used local printers that have been recommended to me by print design friends (who are way more up on these things than I am) but this time I went with online print company Moo.com.
The process was pretty simple, I made use of their Adobe Illustrator templates and opted for Moo’s Luxe option – Mohawk superfine paper clocking in at a hefty 600gsm (I’ve started to sound a bit Patrick Bateman haven’t I?). With my design uploaded and approved it was just a matter of playing a waiting game.
Four business days later and my new cards have arrived and I’m really pleased. They’re nicely packaged, and incredibly well presented – particularly when you consider the price I paid (under £30 for a run of 50 cards). In no way am I an expert on print but they more than met my expectations. The extra thick paper is a really nice touch – oh and I almost forgot to mention that you get to pick an edge colour, I went with black. Have a look and see what you think…
